Remember me? The chronically cynical college kid with a big vocabulary and an endless supply of manifestos to shout into the virtual void?
I graduated.
I’ve been on hiatus for nearly 4 years now (i.e. getting repeatedly punched in the face by the Real World™), but I think I finally have my feet under me. Allow me to reintroduce myself:
I’m on the back end of my twenties, as my newfound lower back pain and inability to recover from hangovers would attest. I work in tech (who’d have thought?), and have a dream job that allows me to do pretty much whatever I want.
I’ve been with my domestic partner for 3 years now, and couldn’t possibly be more in love. We currently live out of a travel trailer and will soon find residence back east. I’m outdoorsy now, and do things like hiking and camping and Spartan races. We have 2 dogs and no kids, which is the sweet spot.
There’s plenty of bad in the world, but there’s a lot of good, too. I’ll do my best to strike a balance here. A lot of me has changed (I prefer the term “evolved,” but let’s not get pompous here), and I’m ready to tell you all about it.
Legacy followers, welcome back! I missed you. And to all my Newbies out there, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.
Now get reading! You have a lot of catching up to do.
